Working from her studio in the Berkshires of Massachusetts, artist Janet Crawford depicts the equestrian lifestyle. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Rhode Island College, Crawford has been a professional artist for twenty years. Her work hangs in collections throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. Specializing in horses and dogs, she is known for her candid oil portraits and realistic portrayal of the horse show world. Crawford has been featured on the covers of such publications as The Chronicle of the Horse, The Pedlar, and The Morgan Horse magazine. An avid Hackney pony enthusiast, Crawford is currently working on a designing a Hackney Carousel horse for the Berkshire Carousel in Pittsfield, MA. The artist is represented by VanderMoore Designs.
